In Vellore district's Kudiatham city, police intercepted a two-wheeler during a routine vehicle inspection. Upon verifying the registration number, it was discovered that the vehicle had been stolen, belonging to Mahalakshmi of Kudiatham Bhubaneswari Pett. The vehicle had been reported stolen on the 24th of the previous month, and a complaint had been filed at the Kudiatham police Station.

The police arrested the rider for further investigation, and it was revealed that he was 'Vik Mohan', a suspect involved in a murder and over 35 theft cases. To evade capture, Mohan had been using a wig to disguise himself. During the investigation, it was uncovered that he had broken into the house of a private school principal in Chennarayanpally, stealing gold jewelry, and had committed similar thefts in the Valathur and Pasumathur areas.

Mohan's elaborate escape plan left the police stunned. By day, he would roam around bald, scouting for houses to target. At night, he donned a wig, transforming his appearance, and committed thefts. Even though CCTV footage captured him during these crimes, his wig made him nearly unrecognizable. He had styled his wig similar to actor Vijay’s hair, adding to his disguise.

Further investigation revealed that Mohan had rented a house in Chittoor, Andhra Pradesh, where he stashed his stolen goods. Acting swiftly, Gudiatham police confiscated 57 grams of gold jewelry, 500 grams of silver items, and other valuables, including a TV, from the rented property. Four additional theft cases were registered against Vik Mohan, and he was placed in Vellore Jail.

This arrest has revealed that Vik Mohan had previously been jailed three times under the gangster Prevention Act, with numerous criminal cases still pending. The bizarre story of Mohan, using a wig for thefts and going bald to avoid suspicion afterward, has shocked the local community.
