Once thought to be among the most successful telugu filmmakers, koratala siva has amassed an amazing resume of consistently releasing hit movies. His career started with Prabhas' mirchi, then he went on to work with mahesh babu in srimanthudu and bharat ane nenu, and ntr in Janatha Garage. At the time, all of these movies became the highest grossing in the careers of the corresponding heroes.
 
But Koratala's reputation suffered greatly as his final movie, acharya, starring chiranjeevi and ram Charan, turned out to be a huge catastrophe. It knocked him down to practically nothing from his position as a top-tier director. koratala siva is currently looking for a big return with ntr, Janhvi Kapoor, and saif ali khan in the film Devara. He has a great chance to win back the audience's confidence with this movie.
 
With backing from bollywood heavyweight karan johar, koratala is also aiming for the pan-Indian market, pitching Devara as his best opportunity to make a comeback in telugu cinema as well as throughout the country.
