Following her auto-immune disease diagnosis, samantha Ruth Prabhu has been putting more of an emphasis on her well-being and taking on fewer roles. samantha formally announced that she will be appearing in a forthcoming series after Citadel. 

Samantha Ruth Prabhu announced her photo session for the historical fantasy series "Rakht Brahamand" on Instagram. Along with the post, the caption read, “Never stop dreaming. Glad to be back on a film set after a while #Raktbrahmand@d2r_films@netflix_in.” Fans took to the comment section to express their excitement. One user wrote, “All the best queen..Eagerly waiting for your action sequences”.

According to reports, she will collaborate on the Rakht Brahmand Netflix original series with stars aditya roy kapur and Wamiqa Gabbi. Rahi Anil Barve, who is well-known for his hit movie Tumbbad, will helm the film. The show is slated to go into production in august 2024 and be released in late 2025. It is interesting to note that under their production company, D2R Films, raj and DK will direct and produce Rakht Brahmand. The actress has not taken on any projects this year other from Rakht Brahmand and is waiting for the premiere of her eagerly awaited online series Citadel: Honey Bunny, which co-stars varun Dhawan.
