Prime minister Narendra Modi is set to embark on a significant three-day visit to the US, starting with participation in the Quad Leaders Summit in Wilmington, Delaware. This summit brings together leaders from Australia, Japan, and the US, and Modi emphasized the Quad's role as a vital coalition for promoting peace, progress, and prosperity in the Indo-Pacific region.
During his visit, Modi plans to hold bilateral meetings with President Joe Biden, Australian prime minister Anthony Albanese, and Japanese prime minister Fumio Kishida, aiming to deepen the Comprehensive Global Strategic Partnership between india and the US.
Following the Quad Summit, Modi will address the Summit of the Future at the United Nations General assembly in New York on september 23, where he intends to discuss global challenges and opportunities for humanity.
Modi is particularly excited about engaging with the indian diaspora in the US, with a major community event scheduled at Long Island's Nassau Veterans Memorial Coliseum. Titled “Modi & US: Progress Together,” the event is expected to draw over 24,000 attendees, celebrating the contributions of the Indian-American community through cultural performances and notable speakers.
This visit not only underscores India’s strategic partnerships but also highlights the growing influence of the indian diaspora in shaping international relations.
