Andhra deputy cm to Fast for 11 Days Over tirupati Laddu Controversy

Andhra Pradesh deputy chief minister Pawan kalyan announced on saturday that he will perform an 11-day penance to seek forgiveness from Lord Venkateswara regarding alleged adulteration of animal fats in the famous tirupati laddus.

Kalyan plans to start the ritualistic penance on sunday at the Sri Dasavatara venkateswara swamy temple in Namburu, guntur district. He expressed his intention to visit tirumala sri venkateswara swamy after completing the penance and asked the deity for the strength to conduct a ritualistic cleansing to rectify the alleged wrongdoings of the previous YSRCP government.

He raised questions about how employees and board members of the tirumala tirupati Devasthanams (TTD), the governing body of the tirupati temple, could be unaware of these alleged discrepancies.Further, the janasena founder wondered how tirumala tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) employees and board members could be oblivious to these alleged irregularities.

The controversy gained traction after andhra pradesh chief minister N. chandrababu naidu claimed during a recent nda legislative meeting that the previous YSRCP government compromised the quality of ingredients used for the beloved tirupati laddus, which are celebrated for their unique flavor. Naidu's allegations have led to widespread public outrage across the nation.
