The folk horror movie directed by Rahi Anil Barve has become a cult classic in the five years since its premiere. Sohum Shah, the lead, became well-known for his intense performance. Following its big-screen rerelease, Tumbbad is poised to smash box office records.
 
The movie grossed three times as much on its first day of release as it did on its first 51 lakhs net collection. Due to the weekend, there was an increase in reservations on Saturday. The Buckingham Murders, kareena kapoor Khan's most recent film, is in no way comparable to this reissue. Tumbbad has been the greatest re-release ever, surpassing legendary films like Sholay, Mughal-e-Azam, and Rockstar with a whopping 1.65 crores on its first day of release. This weekend will only see a sharp rise in its total revenue.
 
As a non-mainstream bollywood project, it is intriguing to see this re-release. Even without an A-list actor in the starring role, it defeated kareena kapoor Khan and other B-town celebrities. This would undoubtedly cause fear throughout the whole business. This movie just serves to highlight the notion that film enthusiasts place a high value on a well-written storyline and skillfully shot production.
