With Pathaan and Jawan, Shah Rukh Khan brought bollywood back to life last year. bollywood had been in trouble and seemed bleak before then. However, king Khan proved that Abhi Zinda Hai in Bollywood. But it seems that some in bollywood are attempting to discredit SRK because they are not happy with his success.
 
It was recently revealed that SRK's next movie, king, would be released on Eid 2026. This would be Shah Rukh Khan's big-screen comeback after he been away from the big screen for over three years with Dunki in 2023. He should be released on his own, without any rivals. Shortly after this declaration, it was made public that Sanjay Leela Bhansali's love and War, starring Vicky Kaushal, alia bhatt, and Ranbir Kapoor, will also be released on Eid 2026—the same day that Shah Rukh Khan had originally planned to release King.
 
Bollywood started to hear rumors that Ranbir is going for SRK, maybe because he can't be number one without taking on the greatest star in the industry. It's interesting to note that in 2007, Sanjay Leela Bhansali's om shanti om starring Shah Rukh Khan and Ranbir Kapoor's feature debut Saawariya were both released on the same day. Saawariya was a failure, while om shanti om was a hit movie.
 
In 2015, Dilwale pitted Shah Rukh Khan and Bhansali against Bajirao Mastani. Bajirao Mastani prevailed at the indian box office this time, despite Dilwale's larger global total. They will now go off against one other again in king against love and War. Who will win this time is still up in the air.
