At the Arizona campaign office of Democratic presidential contender Kamala Harris, gunfire was heard. This is the second time in a month that the Tempe City office has been attacked after pellet guns were used to shoot at the building's glass.
 
Tempe police verified the incident happened the night before and said that "damage from gunfire" was found at the DNC headquarters in a statement to NBC news on Tuesday. On the other hand, no injuries were reported. No one was inside the office building when the event occurred, according to Sgt. Ryan Cook, Tempe Police's public information officer, "but this raises concerns about the safety of those who work in that building, as well as those nearby," as reported by The New York Post.
 
A video showing two gunshot holes in a door and two more in the office windows was shown on local TV channels.
 
Detectives are presently investigating the event and examining evidence gathered from the crime scene.
 
Additional security measures have been implemented for both the campaign office staff and other individuals in the vicinity, according to the police.
 
As to NBC news, Arizona Democratic party Chairwoman Yolanda Bejarano confirmed the event and expressed her sadness in a statement, saying that the party is not representative of Arizonans or Americans and that it is "extremely sad that the Arizona Democratic party has become the target of violence."
 
She said, "We are collaborating with law enforcement to make sure that this threat is handled seriously and that our employees are protected while at work.
 
Days before Harris's planned travel to Arizona on Friday, when she is probably going to visit the US-Mexico border, there was a gunshot incident.
 
The Tempe location is one of the Democratic nominee's 18 Arizona field offices.
 
Republican opponent of Harris, Donald Trump, escaped a second assassination attempt on september 15 at his gold Club in Florida. Shortly after, Ryan Routh, the 58-year-old suspect who was backed by Democrats, was taken into custody.
