The much awaited 'Devara: Part 1' starring Jr. ntr and saif ali khan has left spectators with mixed emotions, despite its intriguing storyline and stellar ensemble. In the end, a dull story, cliched plot turns, and undeveloped characters overwhelmed the excellent ensemble. There were, nonetheless, sporadic flashes of brilliance amid the mediocrity that left spectators wondering what could have been. In addition to outlining the major disappointments that 'Devara: Part 1' experienced, we will also discuss the positive aspects that kept the film from being a total write-off in this piece.

Too Lengthy
The film's lengthy running time was one of my biggest mistakes. "Devara: Part 1" is three hours long and seems like an endurance test. The break, which doesn't come for another two hours, offers a little relief. The three songs add to the bloated length, especially the romance tune featuring janhvi kapoor and Jr. NTR. In addition, the first fifteen minutes seem completely unnecessary and might have been omitted to streamline the story.

Janhvi Kapoor
Janhvi hardly has a part to perform, which would leave the actor's fans extremely unhappy. In actuality, her only role in the film is that of eye candy—she only makes a fleeting appearance in the second half. She portrays Ratnagari's most beautiful girl, Thanga, who is every guy's dream. However, she wants to marry a manly man, so she entices potential suitors to marry her before any other women does. She emerges, does a little twirling, and then vanishes. Regretfully, Janhvi, who received praise for her roles in films like "Mr. & Mrs. Mahi," has not been used to her full potential.

'Baahubali' Feels, But Worse
Do you recall how everyone was left wondering, "Kattappa ne Baahubali ko kyu maara? (Why did Kattappa murder Baahubali at the film's conclusion?). "Devara: Part 1" is not an exception. In this case, it's "Why did Vara kill Devara, Vara ne Devara ko kyu mara)?" In addition, the film's narrative, which follows a backlash and introduces a larger-than-life hero and virtuous character, will bring to mind the Baahubali film series. But "Devara: Part 1" is little more than a letdown, in contrast to SS Rajamouli's direction, which produced two massive smashes.

Predictable Plot with No Punch
'Devara: Part 1's' unbearably predictable plot is one of its worst flaws. It gets virtually easy to predict what will happen next as the story progresses. Adding to this problem is the movie's inability to build tension, which deters spectators. "Devara: Part 1" is not as good as popular multi-part movies like "Ponniyin Selvan," "Salaar," and "Baahubali," which skillfully used cliffhangers to generate excitement for their sequels. Even though it ends on a cliffhanger, the effect is underwhelming and doesn't make you eager for the next chapter.

Gravity Defying Action Scenes
Anything is feasible in a movie, even if it means that one man uses a single dagger-like weapon to murder fifty or so other men. The action in "Devara: Part 1" revolves on this. In the two main action scenes featuring Jr. ntr, he kills 50 guys on his own before the halftime break and another 20 men on his own in the second half. It appears like rationality was lost in the process of crafting this scene. In a another scenario, he is seen shoving two enormous cargo containers down a cliff, despite the attempts of four or five guys to stop him. The outcome? Obviously, he pushed them easily, and none of them could equal his strength. I’m reminded of one more scene where he jumps from a huge cargo ship and lands straight on his toes at a small boat, with his hands on his waist. All these scenes and many more, are indigestible to the core!
