Modern road infrastructure has grown significantly in india in recent years. However, there have been a good number of disputes and criticisms around it. The country now has a notably higher number of toll gates as a result of the nda government, led by nitin gadkari, pushing for highway growth. This is because, in order to construct the infrastructure, the government mostly depends on loans from private companies and public-private partnerships.
