For producing noise pollution and failing to get an entertainment license, the Cyberabad police have opened complaints against seventeen bars and other entertainment venues in Hyderabad. On friday night, teams from the Cyberabad police and the pollution control board patrolled the grounds of bars and entertainment venues. It was discovered that the 17 bars were operating without a permit and were polluting the noise levels that were allowed. The sound equipment was confiscated, and cases were booked, according to the police.

Following a weekend of visiting several bars along the IT corridor, authorities discovered that at least fifteen of them were playing loud music in defiance of pollution regulations. On Sunday, criminal proceedings were lodged against the offending establishments following the completion of sound pollution testing.

Using a sound meter, the Gachibowli police visited the bars on saturday night and performed the test. The greatest sound emission of the six incidents that were reported was 88 dB, followed by 86 decibels. 55 dB is the maximum permissible sound level throughout the night. The decibel levels at other bars varied from 59 to 68. Each of these six bars' managers and management were the subject of police complaints. Sections 223 (disobedience to an order validly proclaimed by a public official) and 292 (punishment for public annoyance in instances not otherwise provided for) of the BNS were also used by the police to book the establishments.

The cops conducted the test from 10 p.m. to 11.30p.m. Suo motu cases were subsequently filed. In a similar vein, six incidents were reported in the borders of Madhapur, where it was discovered that the noise pollution ranged from 60 to 72 dB.
