YRF Spy Universe is prepared to take on major initiatives as it grows. Pathaan 2, which was verified earlier this year, is one of them. writer abbas Tyrewala provided some insights regarding Shah Rukh Khan's upcoming big-screen appearance, as fans impatiently await his arrival. In a recent interview on Cyrus Says, Abbas, who also authored the previous movie, said that the screenplay for the sequel is finished and that the language still has to be completed. He said that filming was underway for war 2, which is expected to be released in 2019.
 
Notably, abbas withheld more information on the identity of the project's director and primary adversary. For the time being, meanwhile, a number of publications from other sources have said that siddharth anand will not be taking over as director. He would be engaged in tiger vs. Pathaan instead. However, abbas revealed a few more facts regarding SRK's next movie king, revealing that he has written the language in its initial draft. This would be the first time king Khan and filmmaker sujoy ghosh have worked together.
 
Though there is still a chance that Khan may emerge in war 2 as Pathaan, it is yet imminent. The first female spy movie in the series, Alpha, may experience the same fate. In the meanwhile, more information on Pathaan 2's release date is now being sought.
