Iran has summoned an emergency meeting of the UN Security Council in an attempt to exact revenge on the Jewish country amid rising tensions between israel and Hezbollah, particularly following the death of the organization's leader, Hassan Nasrallah.

After Nasrallah was killed, lebanon launched a rocket that fell into the Israel-occupied West bank territory on saturday and caught fire. However, the event did not result in any recorded injuries.

The Israeli military said that "a launch from lebanon toward Israeli territory" was the cause of the air raid sirens that were activated on the edges of Jerusalem and the West bank, as reported by Israeli alert apps.

Israeli prime minister Benjamin Netenyahu referred to Hassan Nasrallah's death as "a historic turning point" in his first public remarks.

According to the Lebanese health ministry, Israeli attacks in lebanon on saturday left 195 people injured and 33 dead. In the last two weeks, Israeli attacks have resulted in over 1,000 fatalities, over 6,000 injuries, and about one million Lebanese displacements.

• On saturday, thousands of Iranians protested in the streets of Tehran and around the nation, calling for "revenge" against Israel's onslaught into lebanon and denouncing the death of Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah. Pictures depicted demonstrators yelling "Revenge," "Down with israel," and "Down with the US" while holding photos of Nasrallah.

• After israel verified that Nasrallah had been killed, celebrations erupted throughout Syria. The public views Hezbollah as an adversary since the terrorist organization assisted President Bashar al-Assad in putting an end to the Syrian revolution. Hezbollah is said to have killed thousands of Syrians after sending some 50,000 thousand of its militants to support Assad during the civil war.

• The israel Defense Forces said on sunday that sirens had been activated in the city of Eilat. This comes after the Israeli military claimed that "a launch from lebanon toward Israeli territory" was the cause of the sirens that were heard on the edges of Jerusalem and the West Bank.

• The Times of israel stated that the israel Defence Forces (IDF) declared that a senior leader in Hezbollah's intelligence wing was slain in an Israeli bombing in the Dahiyeh neighborhood of Beirut. According to the IDF, Hassan Khalil Yassin oversaw an intelligence branch inside Hezbollah that was entrusted with identifying Israeli military and civilian targets within Israel.
