In the entertainment business, actresses frequently experience body shaming and are held to rigid beauty standards. Many of them, nonetheless, overcome all of these to become stars. One such actress—dubbed a "village girl"—who endured body shaming is currently a major celebrity. The actress in question has not only made a name for herself in bollywood but also in the South Asian film business. Mrunal Thakur is her name.

Mrunal Thakur is a native of maharashtra who left college early to pursue a career in acting. Her career began with television programs, and daily soap operas like kumkum Bhagya and Mujhse Kuchh Kehti...Yeh Khamoshiyaan helped her become well-known.  After that, she turned to movies, making her big bollywood breakthrough in love Sonia. Although the movie didn't do well at the box office, reviewers gave the actress' performance high marks. Following this, she starred alongside hrithik roshan in hit movies like Super 30 and Batla House.

But she never had an easy time pursuing her dream of being an actor. Mrunal Thakur told indian Express in an interview that she had experienced fat shaming at an audition. She remembered that after being branded a "village girl," a photographer had subsequently apologized. "Yes exactly," she said. You perform on stage. I was informed, "Oh Mrunal, you are not sexy at all," by someone I met for a meeting. I inquired as to whether he was discussing me personally or the character. He thinks I'm not even close to the sexiness of the role, though. We did as I instructed, taking a look test in that scenario, sir. The photographer said in Marathi, "Who is this village girl?" when he saw me and didn't think I was that character. He later expressed regret.

Nevertheless, putting all of this aside, she made her film debut with dulquer salmaan in Sita Ramam, which proved to be a pivotal moment in her career. She became an instant celebrity once the movie became a tremendous box-office hit. But fame also brought with it a dilemma.

The actress previously shared her joyful bikini photos from her beach holiday. But online users mocked her, referencing Sita Ramam and saying they didn't like their Sita like "this." Mrunal is the "only heroine they don't want to see like this," according to some others. Nevertheless, the actress was undeterred by this and concentrated on producing quality work. She went on to feature in web series such as Made in heaven 2 and love Stories 2, and she also provided blockbusters like Hi Nanna. Not only that, but she most recently appeared in the hit kalki 2898 AD, which took in Rs 1000 crore at the movie office.

She is currently regarded as one of Bollywood's and South Africa's top actresses. The actress reportedly costs between Rs. 2-3 crore for each film, and her staggering net worth is estimated to be above Rs. 33 crore. Her next motion picture appearance will be in Son of Sardar 2.
