Ashish Hemrajani, the CEO of BookMyShow, has received a second summons from mumbai police to appear for interrogation about the purported black marketing of tickets for english rock band Coldplay's music of the Spheres World Tour in the city in january 2025.
 
Hemrajani and the technical head of the firm received a new summons on Sunday, and they were instructed to appear before the investigating officer today to provide statements.
 
The first summons was given on september 27 by the mumbai Police's Economic Offenses Wing (EOW), but the two did not show up for it. 


In connection with an investigation into alleged black market sales of Coldplay concert tickets, ashish Hemrajani, CEO of Big Tree Entertainment, the parent company of BookMyShow, was called by mumbai Police's Economic Offences Wing (EOW).  Mumbai Police's EOW handed a summons to CEO ashish Hemrajani of Big Tree Entertainment Private Limited, the parent company of BookMyShow, and the business's technical head yesterday, according to an ANI report citing mumbai Police. They were summoned by EOW earlier on september 27, but they failed to show up for the agency.
 

"They have been asked to appear before the investigating officer today and record their statements," the police stated, according to the news agency. amit Vyas, an advocate, has lodged a complaint with EOW about the purported black selling of Coldplay concert tickets.
 
The summons followed a complaint submitted by Advocate amit Vyas, who charged BookMyShow of facilitating the illegal ticket market for the Coldplay performance, which is set to take place at DY Patil Stadium from january 19 to 21.
