A document that shows that the work was done with permission from the physicians has surfaced, more than a month after a major outcry by protesting doctors about renovations near the lecture hall at RG Kar Medical college and Hospital, where a trainee doctor was sexually assaulted and died.

According to sources, a decision was made to build certain additions and modifications to the current building in order to provide room for the medics' basic amenities, as evidenced by the widely circulated document dated august 12.

Three junior physicians, three nurses, and Dr. Arunava Dutta Chowdhury, the executive engineer assigned to RG Kar Hospital and director of the department of chest medicine, all signed the paper.

Joint inspections were conducted on august 10 and 12 after the conference. Following that, the inspection procedure was joined by hospital authorities, nurses, executive engineers, and junior physicians representatives. Following the joint examination, a determination was reached regarding the necessary locations and types of modifications. The sources stated that the ruling states that the construction started on august 13.

However, more accusations were made against the state government for allegedly attempting to destroy evidence by removing the wall when a video of them doing so went viral in front of the lecture hall.

After that, the construction was promptly stopped by kolkata police. The police said that the murder scene remained unaltered and denied that any remodeling work was taking on within the lecture hall.

A few days later, the West bengal government was questioned by the calcutta High court on their "urgency" to repair areas close to the seminar hall of the RG Kar Hospital.

"There is nothing true to any of these claims that the murder scene has been destroyed or dismantled. The government's attorney stated that the demolition work that took place was not close to the scene of the incident.

Following the august 9 rape and murder of a trainee female doctor at the RG Kar Medical college and Hospital, young physicians around the nation staged protests.
