In the telugu film industry, rumors that Jr. ntr and war 2 director ayan mukerji had creative disagreements have begun to circulate. During the filming of war 2, ntr disclosed the creative disparities he had with ayan mukerji in an interview with alia bhatt and karan johar, Jr. 

While Jr. ntr enjoys spontaneity, Mukerji is renowned for his meticulous planning. "Too much prep doesn't give you the chance to explore yourself," ntr said.
