Following one of the worst-ever box office failures with his picture Bade Miyan Chote Miyan, producer vashu bhagnani finds himself embroiled in a major legal issue with Netflix. He claims that Netflix deceived him over the rights to three movies, including Bade Miyan Chote Miyan and Mission Raniganj. He asserted in an interview with the Economic Times that Netflix plotted to harm his works. Bhagnani has lodged a complaint against many officials, Zoo wallet PLATFORM' target='_blank' title='digital-Latest Updates, Photos, Videos are a click away, CLICK NOW'>digital India, and Los Gatos Production services India, the company that oversees Netflix's programming in India.
 
The mumbai Police's Economic Offenses Wing (EOW) has opened an investigation as a result of this. vashu bhagnani contends he hasn’t earned ₹47.37 crore for the subscription video on demand (SVOD) rights as per their agreement and says he was pressed to renegotiate conditions, hurting his films’ reputations and profits. Netflix has refuted these claims with great force, claiming that pooja Entertainment is a debtor.
 
Executives from Los Gatos Production services are being questioned as part of the continuing investigation, and a First Information Report (FIR) filing decision is still pending. This dispute stems from an agreement made in May 2021, according to vashu bhagnani, wherein he contributed ₹645 crore and the other party was expected to pay ₹281 crore. The movie has also drawn criticism for not paying its personnel.
