The then opposition leader ntr announced in his election campaign that if tdp came to power, he would implement a 'complete prohibition of alcohol'. people believed in his word and tdp won with an overwhelming majority. As soon as he came to power, as per the promise given by ntr, he showed his commitment by implementing a total liquor ban from june 1, 1995.


Meanwhile, like ntr, in the 2019 election campaign, ycp chief jagan also promised to completely ban alcohol. They said that if they do not do that, they will not ask for votes in the next election. With this, the people won jagan with an overwhelming majority. But during Jagan's regime, not only did the prices of liquor increase, but inferior liquor was produced. Because of this, people did not believe in jagan this time. The coalition government that came to power has brought a new liquor policy. The government has promised to supply quality liquor. With the new liquor policy, the government is likely to get huge revenue.
