Beijing celebrates gandhi Jayanti with Chinese dancers and students.!!!

On Wednesday, schoolchildren in China's expansive Chaoyang Park commemorated gandhi Jayanti by reading his teachings in Mandarin. In addition, dancers from beijing performed an Odissi version of his favorite "bhajan."
A group of Chinese schoolchildren brought Gandhi's statue—which was carved by renowned Chinese sculptor Yuan Xikun—to life in Beijing's charming Chaoyang Park in 2005 by reciting his lessons in Mandarin. Following it was a lovely Odissi dance performance on "Vaishnav Jan To" by renowned Zhang Jinghui and her group from Beijing. The drama "Ahimsa: The gandhi Way," written and directed by Ketkee Thakar and Ayushi Sugandhi, was performed by the indian community.
Numerous indian officials, led by Ambassador pradeep Kumar Rawat, as well as the Chinese Ambassador to the Maldives, Fazeel Najeeb, the indian diaspora in beijing, and local gandhiji devotees presented flowers to the statue, which is highly regarded.
During his address, Rawat expressed his sincere gratitude to Yuan Xikun for erecting the first statue of mahatma gandhi at Chaoyang Park, which honors world leaders of history. He also remembered Yuan mentioning that Gandhiji's vision had greatly impacted him. Since Mao Zedong, the founder of the People's Republic of china (PRC), and gandhiji led opposing national liberation campaigns, the placement of the gandhi statue in the Chinese capital has political importance of its own. While india became independent from the british domination in 1947, the PRC headed by Mao was created in 1949. gandhi was a visionary who fought for social fairness, truth, and nonviolence. He was also a leader of the indian independence movement. "It is only fitting that the international Day of Non-Violence be observed globally on the anniversary of Gandhiji's birth," Rawat stated.
