President Joe Biden declared on Tuesday, "The united states is fully, fully, fully supportive of israel," following Iran's historic 180-missile launch at israel and a sharp spike in Middle east tensions. The strong statement fit with a concerted US-Israeli attempt to thwart and oppose the Iranian strike; according to Tel Aviv, several of the missiles were intercepted in the area with help from US agencies and missile destroyers, avoiding any deaths.

"The attack appears to have been defeated and ineffective, and this is a testament to Israeli military capability and the US military," Biden said to reporters. He declared that the US was carrying out his instructions to "actively" help Israel's defense.

The white house claims that when the Iranian strike happened, Biden was keeping an eye on events "minute by minute" in the Situation Room, the White House's central command center for handling crucial problems pertaining to national security.

US National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan warned iran of "severe consequences" after describing the Iranian strike as a "significant escalation" and saying, "We will work with israel to make that the case."

"The professionalism of the (Israeli military) was the primary cause of this. However, Sullivan noted that the US military's expert work and careful coordination of preparations before of the strike had a significant role.

He said that the US will keep an eye out for any new threats or actions from iran and its allies.

HOW US HELPED ISRAEL'S DEFENCE
According to the white house, US President Joe Biden ordered the US military to assist israel in defending itself against Iranian strikes and to intercept missiles aimed at Israel. From the white house situation room, Biden and Vice President Kamala harris were keeping an eye on the attack and getting regular reports.

The US launched over a dozen interceptors in response to the flurry of Iranian ballistic missiles aimed towards israel, according to the Pentagon.

Major General Pat Ryder, the press secretary for the Pentagon, stated, "During the attack, the US military coordinated closely with the Israeli Defence Forces to help defend Israel."

In an effort to safeguard israel, Ryder said, two Arleigh Burke-class destroyers, the USS Cole and USS Bulkeley, both stationed in the Eastern Mediterranean, launched a dozen interceptors at approaching Iranian ballistic missiles.

Initial signs suggest that there was little damage on the ground and that israel effectively repelled the Iranian strike, according to Ryder.

According to the Pentagon official, US Secretary of Defense Austin spoke with Israel's Gallant at least twice on Tuesday—both prior to and after the assault. Austin and Gallant met again on Wednesday, during which Austin "expressed mutual appreciation for coordinated defense."
