Raaj Kamal Films international, owned by Kamal Haasan, and sony Pictures international Productions are working together to provide funding for Sivakarthikeyan's forthcoming film Amaran, which is being directed by Rajkumar Periyasamy. The late Major Mukund Varadharajan, who lost his life in a military action, is profiled in the film. 

Indhu Rebecca Varghese, Mukund's wife, is portrayed in the film by Sai Pallavi. The major focus of the trailer is Sai Pallavi's portrayal of Indhu, who is devoted to Mukund. The film also has actual footage of Indhu honoring her spouse in front of obama and Modi at Republic Day celebrations. As Indhu, sai pallavi is mesmerizing. The film will be released in telugu states by Sreshth Movies, the distribution business owned by the Nithiin family. Amaran is slated to be released on october 31st, at Diwali.
