Devara, starring junior ntr, gets off to a strong start and is keeping strong into the weekend. Despite being a large-scale production unlike typical movies, the film is a fine one-time watch, however opinions on it are divided. NTR sets a very high standard for mass-market films. If the product is not totally good, not even the admirers will accept an explanation. It appears that if ntr makes a movie in a class genre or one that isn't entirely mass but has a few strong mass scenes, the public won't mind. The expectations will be automatically established accordingly.
 
However, fans and the public want a flawless mass entertainer from him when he tackles a full-length mass production like Devara, and they will not tolerate any deviations. That explains Devara's conflicting remarks. This issue is going to get worse for the NTR-Prashant Neel movie. The combination and excitement around the project will raise the bar for Neel's film even further because Devara is mostly about NTR. ntr is reportedly the only well-known figure in tollywood with this severe issue.
