The much-anticipated Gulshan Kumar biopic, Mogul, has returned to prominence. However, the actor cast to represent the T-Series founder is still up in the air. Numerous modifications and disputes have surrounded the project since its unveiling in 2017. Notwithstanding all of that, T-Series chairman bhushan kumar is determined to have his father's tale told on a large screen.

There are rumors that the biopic is being completely redesigned. According to reports, the T-Series boss has requested ranbir kapoor to take on the role of his father in his search for a new star. However, due to his hectic schedule, the celebrity might not be able to shoot till 2026.

In the event that Ranbir rejects the offer, bhushan kumar has some fallback options, since he has scheduled meetings with Ayushman Khurrana and varun Dhawan. When the movie was first announced, akshay kumar was slated to star, but he quit because of artistic issues. After that, aamir khan joined the project as producer and star, but he also left due to certain issues on the direction of the movie.

In addition to the actors, there have been significant modifications made behind the scenes. Subhash Kapoor, the project's initial director, was fired after facing accusations related to the #MeToo movement. Consequently, there is currently no director attached to the movie. It's also thought that the film is now in the screenplay phase. According to reports, the story has been rewritten and reimagined by a few new authors.
