Given the existing patterns at the box office, Devara is headed for success. However, Janhvi Kapoor's depiction in the movie has drawn criticism from viewers. Many thought her portrayal was too sexualized and filthy. Her part becomes even more problematic as she appears just in the second half of the film and receives only around 15 minutes of screen time as Jr. NTR's love interest.
 
Telugu people like her stunning avatar in spite of all these criticisms. Her presence gives the movie, which mostly centers on the fight between Jr. ntr and Saif, a breath of new air. Jr. ntr jumped to Janhvi's defense, explaining that koratala siva, the filmmaker, had intended a two-film series, of which this is only Devara: Part 1. Fans may anticipate seeing Janhvi play a bigger part in the future.
 
Jr. ntr asserted that this was only an introduction and that her character will be deeply intertwined into the story of the movie. While some are thrilled to have her back in Devara, others were unhappy with her job and find her relief.
