Half of the Russo brothers, Anthony Russo, says he's excited to team together with indian filmmakers for his international spyverse, Citadel. He says this is because he saw firsthand India's love of movies during his trips there to promote The Gray Man and Avengers: Endgame.

Following their 2014 directorship of Captain America: The Winter Soldier, Anthony and his younger brother Joe Russo have amassed a sizable fan base in India... Their most ambitious endeavor, the Game of Thrones star richard Madden and indian actress priyanka Chopra, is behind the Prime Video series Citadel.

"We enjoy going to the movies. We have a strong sense of passion. Before we became filmmakers, we were devoted moviegoers. We thus react extremely strongly to movie buffs, and india is a country that has a huge film industry. In an exclusive interview with PTI, Anthony described it as "electrifying."

Citadel: Honey bunny, directed by raj nidimoru and krishna DK, will be released in india on november 7. samantha Ruth Prabhu and varun dhawan are the headliners of the india chapter.

"It's a conversation about narrative, movies, and television with India. The ability to interact with indian audiences has been one of the most thrilling aspects of our work as filmmakers," Anthony remarked of the india outing for the series, which also features an Italian co-star in Citadel: Diana, which is scheduled for release on october 10 and Citadel: Honey bunny on november 7.

Priyanka starred in Citadel, which debuted on Prime Video last year. The second season of the show is now in production. Before that, though, the Russos are taking action in india with Sita Menon's Citadel: Honey Bunny. "Now the great thrill here with Citadel, we really get to partner with indian storytellers and filmmakers as well with DK and raj and Sita. It's not only with the audiences but now with the creators. And that is thrilling to us," said the director.
