hyderabad ranks fourth among India's cities with the highest traffic congestion, per the Traffic Quality Index (TQI). Bengaluru had the best traffic conditions in the survey, which examined the traffic situations in indian cities, according to a Deccan Herald story.

Bengaluru was the most congested city in India, ranking top in the category of acute congestion, followed by delhi and Mumbai, which together make up India's Silicon Valley. When it comes to traffic congestion, hyderabad (718 out of 1000) lagged behind delhi (747 points).

Hyderabad, which is quickly becoming South India's IT capital, has seen a rise in population in recent years, contributing to traffic congestion.

Even a little downpour has caused traffic in several sections of hyderabad to come to a complete stop. In hyderabad, during peak office hours, traffic on most routes moves relatively slowly.

The planning and construction of metro lines is part of the ongoing development of the city's infrastructure. In an attempt to reduce traffic congestion, the city now only has three complete metro lines, compared to more than that in other indian cities.

With more preparation for handling traffic at important intersections, the telangana government is keeping up its efforts to lessen congestion in the capital.

Raidurg and Kokapet Neopolis, mahatma gandhi bus Station (MGBS) and Chandrayangutta, miyapur and Patancheru, LB nagar and Hayat nagar, RGIA, and Fourth City will all be connected by the new phase of the hyderabad metro.

This phase, assuming its completion, intends to minimize traffic congestion and promote connectivity via public transit throughout the city.
