Actor om puri was renowned for his outstanding performance in motion pictures. His personal life was fraught with controversy, though. Unlikely Hero: om puri is a book written about him by his ex-wife, Nandita Puri, published in 2009. Startling revelations of his previous 14-year-old sex experiences with housemaids Shanti and Laxmi were made in this book. 

Nandita disclosed these things without his approval. Their marriage was impacted by this and received a lot of public attention. Nandita talked about this again not too long ago. She asserted that Om wasn't displeased with her book. He'd told candid tales to her during their talks. He thought his youngster should be aware of the reality about his upbringing.
 
He was not thrilled with the way the incident was covered by the media, though. Not the sensationalized aspects of his life, but his work and hardships, were what he intended to be the main emphasis. Om stated that he hadn't read the book in an earlier interview. The disclosures wounded him, and he referred to them as "cheap." He thought his bond with the housekeeper was built on loyalty. He wanted his acting accomplishments to be remembered, not simply his personal life. After filing for divorce in 2013, Om died away in 2017 at the age of 66.
