When Joaquin Phoenix's Joker: Folie À Deux opened in indian theaters on october 2, there was much anticipation. When ticket costs are taken into account, the 2019 release of the first joker movie, which made a net collection of 70 crores, is still the highest-grossing English-language movie in India.

Over the previous five years, the joker series has grown a sizable fan base in India. This sparked worries about how NTR's Devara may be impacted by its popularity, particularly in the hindi market. After its september 27 release, Devara has done better than anticipated in areas where hindi is spoken. There were initially concerns that Joker's follow-up would hurt Devara's box office success, especially on gandhi Jayanti, the national holiday. One possible obstacle for Devara was the simultaneous release.

Joker: Folie À Deux, however, has received unfavorable reviews and underwhelming responses from viewers. It has been dubbed an enormous failure by many spectators. This has worked to Devara's advantage, as the film is now anticipated to enjoy a strong run in hindi theaters through Dussehra. joker 2's poor reviews indicate that Devara's box office—especially at A-grade multiplexes—will not be impacted. Devara is currently anticipated to make between ₹65 crores and ₹70 crores throughout its run in hindi, which is a respectable amount for a telugu film that has been dubbed and has ntr as a lone hero.
