Tata Group has launched a separate brand called Zudio beauty for this purpose. Zudio beauty currently competes directly with Hindustan Unilever's Elle18, sugar Cosmetics, health & Glow, and Colorbar in the affordable beauty products segment.
Just as the introduction of Zudio became a major headache for companies like reliance Trance, and Max, it is about to bring similar magic to the cosmetics segment. Based on the quality of Zudio's clothing and fashion products, Zudio is a great example of how to sell quality products at low prices without advertising and without online sales to attract more customers. The new Zudio beauty store has decided to capture the affordable beauty market and bring the globally available beauty trending products to india at an affordable price. Recently several retail empires including reliance, Nike, and Shoppers Stop have focused on premium and luxury beauty segments.Tata Group has opened its first Zudio beauty store in Bengaluru and Trend plans to open its new beauty products store in other major cities like Gurugram, Pune, and Hyderabad. India's iconic cosmetics brand, Lakme, was created by Tata Group, Lakme, which made a great revolution in independent india, is now owned by Hindustan Unilever. Thus the cosmetics segment is nothing new to the Tata Group, it remains in the Tata palette. Zudio has not only been a huge success for the noel Tata-led trend company but has also become one of the largest apparel brands in India. Since its inception in FY 2017, Zudio has been attracting crowds and is currently generating revenue of Rs 16,300 per sq ft across its retail stores.
