The people of Telangana, who had previously lauded HYDRAA, are now criticizing it. The agency faced criticism as it started tearing down wealthy people's residences, even though at first it was praised for tearing down mansions owned by well-known figures. In the meantime, it is said that Telangana's real estate market collapsed as a result of HYDRAA's actions. In September, Telangana's registration revenue dropped by thirty percent, according to reports.

In September, there were just 80,000 transactions and Rs. 650 crores in revenue. The districts of Rangareddy and hyderabad are most affected. In the districts of Rangareddy and medchal Malkajgiri, there has been a 5,000 decline in transactions, respectively. The number of registrations was larger in the first few months of the fiscal year, but it sharply decreased once HYDRAA was implemented.

BRS working president KT Rama Rao brought attention to these claims when he criticized the state administration on X. He brought up the fact that the state's real estate market has been contracting for the last two months. He charged that chief minister revanth reddy was not protecting hyderabad but rather inciting terror by bringing bulldozers to residential areas. ktr further claimed that revanth is carelessly spending resources and not making any money. He questioned revanth Reddy's plans for Telangana's future.
