When Pa Ranjith's film Thangalaan, which starred vikram in the title role and was released in theaters on august 15, it received conflicting reviews from critics and viewers. Another concern has been brought up about the Thangalaan OTT release; according to reports, a person by the name of Porkodi has filed a complaint against Thangalaan to prevent the movie's distribution on the OTT.
 
In light of the circumstances, it is stated that this film presents buddhism favorably while mocking Vainavam buddhism negatively. After its OTT publication, this may spark a conflict between two religions. The Netflix agreement was previously against Thangalaan on OTT, and it appears that OTT viewers would have to wait a little while longer to see the Thangalaan movie on OTT.
