Due to this, it is said that there is a high chance of heavy rain in chennai, Thiruvallur, kanchipuram, and Chengalpattu districts from Monday. Apart from this, an orange alert has been issued for chennai due to this heavy rain.

In this context, according to some information released by indian Weatherman, a depression is approaching in Chennai. On october 15, 16, and 17, chennai, Tiruvallur, kanchipuram and Chengalpattu districts are likely to receive heavy rains, he said. He has also issued an urgent warning to the people of chennai living in low-lying areas to keep their boats ready. There is a high chance of heavy rain starting from october 15 in many parts of tamil Nadu.
Tamil Nadu deputy chief minister Udayanidhi stalin recently issued a statement that he is ready to face this year's monsoon. He also said that the authorities have been instructed to keep adequate stock of extra boats and motors to remove them from waterlogged areas.
