The trailer for Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 opens with vidya Balan's character Manjulika, who is described as a plague upon "Raktghat." The next scene features Rooh Baba, who appears to have become accustomed to con artists using people's paranormal fears. But when he begins assisting the "king" in getting rid of Manjulika, things start to go south.

Along with madhuri dixit, whose character also goes by the name Manjulika, it includes vidya balan in a verbal duel. The trailer makes a valiant attempt to blend humor with terror, frequently going too far and disappointing viewers. The teaser has drawn criticism on social media for its 'bland' humorous attempts and excessively spooky atmosphere.

One user on X wrote, “ comedy looks bland. horror looks over the top. Ye kya bana diya bhai”, while another commented, “It just seems like a collection of gags & physical comedy, taking away from what made the OG special!”

People miss akshay kumar and his vitality when he's not around. kartik aaryan feels good, but he's not quite as good as Akshay Kumar. The overacting of madhuri dixit and vidya balan makes the terror look forced, while tripti dimri is mostly unrecognizable throughout the clip. While parts of the speech may appear oddball and humorous, they fall well short of the standards set by the previous movie.
