Three days after his death, his close associate and deputy manager of Tata Trust, Shantanu Naidu has shared an emotional post on social media. Naidu wrote that it was difficult for him to believe that he would never be able to see ratan tata smiling again. ratan tata died on Wednesday, october 9 at the age of 86.

Shantanu Naidu met ratan tata for the first time in 2014. He has been one of his closest friends. Naidu said in a post on Instagram, "Now I have finally got time to sit down and feel these events. Shantanu Naidu also thanked those who sent condolence messages in the last three days, and reading those messages made him feel as if they were family members for years. Naidu wrote, "Messages from strangers from across the country encouraged me. Whenever I thought that the grief has subsided a little, a message or gesture from someone gave me strength again."
