Chennai rain: Night sky illuminated by spectacular lightning bolt!

Several parts of tamil Nadu, including chennai, the state capital, were hit by thunderstorms. As was to be expected, a number of images of the rainstorm appeared on social media, some of which used a light show to paint the sky. A lightning bolt striking a structure is one such video that has both frightened and enthralled viewers. While some viewers were mesmerized by nature's beauty, others were frightened by its might. Pattabi Raman, an X user, posted the video using just two hashtags: #ChennaiRains and #Sholinganallur, a chennai suburb. In the video, a lightning strike briefly turns the night sky a vivid purple color.

What did people on social media say?

This frightening aspect of nature captivated people, who expressed their amazement in the comments area. “Nice capture of a thunderstorm,” someone said. Is that captured now, by the way? In response, Raman said, "Yes."

"Very well captured," said another. "Amazing click," said a third. "I haven't seen one like this in a very long time," remarked a fourth. It is perfectly captured.

A few X users voiced their skepticism and inquired as to if the clip was real, given the current state of artificial intelligence, which has made it easier than ever to create phony videos. In response to those questions, Raman stated that the video was authentic and not produced by technology.

From october 12 to 15, tamil Nadu is expected to get a lot of rain, according to the Regional Meteorological Centre (RMC) in Chennai.

According to a statement by Senthamarai Kannan, deputy director general of meteorology at RMC, "a trough extends up to middle tropospheric levels from the center of the well-marked low pressure area over east central arabian sea off maharashtra coast to southeast arabian sea off south kerala coast."
