'Red' alert for Chennai..!? Be safe..!!

A red alert has been issued in chennai and its suburbs today. As a result of the depression in the Bay of Bengal, it has been raining incessantly since today (October 15) morning in chennai and its suburbs. In chennai, many areas such as Koyambedu, Kathipara, Ekatuthangal, Vadapalani, Pallikaranai, Annanagar, Guindy, Saidapettai, Mylapore, Annasalai, MRC nagar are yet to receive rain. Orange and red Alerts have been issued for various districts as the low-pressure area has strengthened. A red alert has been issued for many districts including chennai tomorrow (October 16). Generally, there are two types of forecasts mentioned in the Meteorological Center announcements namely Yellow, Orange, and Red. A yellow alert means that you can expect information about the weather forecast soon. According to this forecast, 6 cm to 20 cm of rain can be expected. Orange Alert means heavy rain is likely. government administration should be prepared. A red alert means that the weather is very bad. A red alert will be issued if more than 20 cm of rainfall is recorded in 24 hours.
Due to such a situation now, heavy to very heavy rains will continue in chennai and its suburbs for the next 24 hours. The chennai Meteorological Department has announced that heavy rains may occur in some areas. chennai Meteorological Center has published this notification on its official X website. Also, the entire tamil Nadu has issued a rain forecast till 8.30 am today. There is a possibility of heavy rain with thunder in the districts including Chengalpattu, Cuddalore, Kanchipuram, Ranipet, and Villupuram.Earlier yesterday in the notification of chennai Meteorological Center, it was announced that chennai will be on red alert on october 16. Currently, the chennai Meteorological Department has issued a new notification, officially red Alert today, predicting the trend of rain and low-pressure area.
