As Pakistan's prime minister, imran khan pledged to establish a "naya Pakistan" (new Pakistan). Though it's on the American continent, a new pakistan has developed, which is a chilly consolation to him from his detention cell. Under prime minister Justin Trudeau, canada has displayed all the characteristics of pakistan, including harboring wanted terrorists, engaging in baseless blame games, and engaging in vote-bank tactics that compromise the security of the nation. Additionally, New delhi has formally placed canada in the same category as pakistan with the return of the indian envoy and the expulsion of the Canadian envoys on Monday.

Senior Fellow at the Observer Research Foundation Sushant Sareen said, "Canada has become the new pakistan for india," during a panel debate on india Today TV. Sareen was alluding to the Islamic nation's harboring of terrorists and the reciprocal expulsion of diplomatic personnel by pakistan and India.

Amish Tripathi, Abhijit Iyer-Mitra, Michael Kugelman, and others have all commented that canada under Justin Trudeau has become the new Pakistan.

CANADA BLAME GAME WITHOUT A SHRED OF EVIDENCE
When the Trudeau administration claimed that indian government operatives were involved in the assassination of Khalistani terrorist Hardeep Singh Nijjar in september of last year, relations between india and canada took a severe hit. In june 2023, Nijjar was shot and killed at the Surrey, canada, gurdwara parking lot.

In the Nijjar case, canada has not offered any concrete proof and has instead leveled allegation after accusation against india for a full year. india has repeatedly asked for hard copy documentation.

By designating indian High Commissioner Sanjay Kumar Verma as a "person of interest" in its investigation into Nijjar's murder on october 14, canada exacerbated the situation.

The strong tone of India's statement recalling the envoy and dismissing six diplomats was unusual.

"Today’s external affairs ministry statement is absolutely blistering. It conveys the full force of New Delhi's anger with canada on the Khalistan issue," Michael Kugelman, South Asia Institute director of The Wilson Centre think tank, wrote on X.

"One can argue that at this moment, india has worse diplomatic relations with canada than it does with pakistan," Kugelman noted.

JUSTIN TRUDEAU'S canada HARBOURING wanted CRIMINALS
However, india was criticizing the Justin Trudeau administration for caving down to the Khalistanis under the guise of "freedom of speech" even before the Nijjar case. The Khalistanis have threatened indians and those of indian descent with death and staged processions with floats that show the murder of former prime minister Indira Gandhi.

Similar to how pakistan turned become a safe haven for terrorists sought by india, Trudeau's canada has become a shelter for anti-Indian forces.

According to news agency PTI, which quoted authorities in New delhi in september of last year, at least nine Khalistani terror organizations have bases in canada, and despite repeated demands for deportation, Ottawa has not taken any action against even individuals implicated in terrible crimes.

Among these perpetrators is lawrence Bishnoi's sidekick Goldy Brar, who was responsible for the murder of well-known punjabi musician Sidhu Moosewala.

Operating freely from Canadian land were Khalistani organizations such as the World Sikh Organization (WSO), Khalistan tiger Force (KTF), Sikhs for Justice (SFJ), and Babbar Khalsa international (BKI).

According to the officials, canada has provided sanctuary to eight terrorists and other gangsters who have been affiliated with Pakistan's infamous intelligence organization, ISI.

"Some individuals who have entered canada illegally have been fast-tracked for citizenship. Multiple extradition requests from the government of india in respect of terrorists and organized crime leaders living in canada have been disregarded," India's Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) said in its statement on october 14.

"The language being used for canada is similar to what is used by the indian MEA for Pakistan... Canadians should know, that your government is importing terrorists and extremists, while india wants them extradited to face justice," author-commentator Amish Tripathi wrote on X.

INDIA'S TIES WITH canada WORSE THAN WITH PAKISTAN?
Pakistan was the last nation with which india got into a diplomatic quarrel and started recalling and expelling ambassadors.

Following the Pulwama bombings in 2019, india reduced its diplomatic ties to Pakistan.

India has granted canada the same status by bringing back its envoy and removing six Canadian diplomats from their positions. The MEA statement also highlighted the deterioration of ties with Canada.

"Extraordinarily harsh response to canada by the MEA. I've literally never seen language like this used for anyone - not even Pakistan. Congrats Justin Trudeau, you’re literally in a category lower than corrupt third-world tinpot dictators," posted Abhijit Iyer-Mitra on X.

The air india Kanishka bombing occurred during Pierre Trudeau's (Justin Trudeau's father) prime ministership when canada turned down indian pleas for extradition and intelligence sharing.

All 329 people on board air india Flight 182 (Kanishka), which was traveling from Toronto to London, UK, were killed on june 23, 1985, when a bomb hidden in two luggage was detonated. The Kanishka bombing is still the worst terrorist assault in Canadian history, with the majority of victims being citizens of Canada.

Similar to how pakistan is reaping the benefits of conflict in its nation after giving terrorists a place to hide out, canada has a similar narrative to tell.

It is applicable to canada as well that former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton said pakistan that "You can't keep snakes in your backyard and expect them to bite your neighbors only." canada, these snakes will bite you too. "Get your government to stop," stated Amish Tripathi, a writer and analyst.

One pakistan is too much for a globe engulfed in conflict and terrorism, even though imran khan may be pleased with canada becoming "naya Pakistan". But Justin Trudeau is forging on with his bold plan to transform canada, a developed nation, into a terror-torn, loan-dependent Pakistan.
