The film Martin, starring dhruva Sarja in kannada, has generated controversy following a critical review by YouTuber Strong Sudhakar (Sudhakar Gowda). After the film's premiere, which drew a resoundingly negative reception, sudhakar referred to Martin as "the worst movie I've ever seen" and said that its makers were attempting to capitalize on the popularity of the hugely successful KGF.

The admirers of dhruva Sarja were even more incensed when he made a negative comparison to Upendra's Kabzaa. Fans lodged a complaint against sudhakar after reading his critical evaluation, which prompted the police at Madanayakanahalli station to take down the video and issue a warning to him. sudhakar apologized and removed the video in response to criticism.

But because of a previous assault case from seven years prior, a warrant for his arrest had already been issued, leading to his incarceration and court appearance. The kannada people responded differently to Sudhakar's evaluation. While some viewers encouraged others to support kannada movies in spite of unfavorable comments, others defended his right to voice criticism.

They stressed how crucial it is to support regional motion pictures and performers throughout India, especially in the event of unfavorable evaluations. Discussions about free expression have been sparked by this episode, particularly in relation to film criticism and how fans respond to unfavorable reviews.
