30 important proposals were discussed in the cabinet meeting held at dehradun Secretariat under the chairmanship of uttarakhand chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami. Many major decisions were taken in these, which will prove to be important in the direction of economic development of the state, employment generation and empowerment of rural areas. The cabinet has taken an important decision to increase local economic development and employment opportunities.
Indo-Tibetan Border police (ITBP) personnel will now be supplied sheep, goat, mutton, chicken and fish from the local people. This decision will boost economic activities in the hilly areas of the state and provide employment opportunities to about 20,000 local people. Apart from this, the decision is expected to bring economic benefits of about Rs 200 crore to the local markets.
In the meeting, approval was given to provide financial assistance and the benefit of Ayushman Yojana simultaneously under the Human-Wildlife Conflict Fund. Under this scheme, people suffering from damage caused by wild animals will not only get financial help, but they will also get the benefit of health related services. An important decision was also taken in the cabinet meeting to provide relief to slums. This will help those people who have been living in these settlements for many years and who do not have proper facilities. Regarding this, the government has brought an ordinance for 3 years, now those settlements will not be demolished for the next 3 years.
Vikasnagar Civil Court
In the meeting, it was also decided to allocate land on a 30-year lease for the construction of a civil court in Vikasnagar. 358 square meters of land will be given, which will further improve judicial services. Under the Skill Development Department, the cabinet decided to build Excellence Centers for students. In these centers, along with learning skills, arrangements will also be made for their stay and food. This initiative will be helpful in providing better education and employment opportunities to the youth of the state. The state government has decided to extend the chief minister Free Gas Refill Scheme for the next three years. This will provide great relief to poor families and they will get financial assistance. The cabinet has now set the limit of depositing an amount of up to Rs 5 lakh in GPF under the Finance Department. At the same time, the annual report of the electricity Regulatory Commission under the Energy Department was also approved to be presented in the Assembly.
