The Uttar Pradesh government has taken a big decision to take care of destitute cows. Under this, now cow shelter centers will be built on enemy properties in the state, where fodder will be grown for the cows and housing will be arranged for them. Animal Husbandry minister in the state government, Dharampal Singh said that there was a problem of housing and fodder for cows, which will now be resolved. Under this initiative, the yogi government has sought details of enemy properties present in the state from the central government, so that these properties can be used for the upliftment of cows.
Under the state government's plan, the government will create pastures on these enemy properties, where fodder will be grown. Apart from this, cow shelters will also be built at these places. In this scheme, the central government will provide land and the state government will take the responsibility of developing the necessary facilities.
