The resolution underscores the J&K government’s dedication to safeguarding the identity and constitutional rights of the region’s residents.

Perhaps Abdullah called on PM Modi on thursday during his first visit to the national capital after assuming office last week. In a remarkable victory in the recent assembly polls in the Union Territory, the first in 10 years, Abdullah’s National Conference won 42 of the 90 assembly seats. omar abdullah was sworn in as the chief minister on october 16, making history as the first leader of the newly formed Union Territory. In its first cabinet meeting, the new government passed a resolution urging the central government to restore the statehood of Jammu and Kashmir.
