Reportedly the lawrence Bishnoi gang remains a significant concern, Delhi-NCR faces threats from nine other dangerous gangs, some directly opposed to lawrence Bishnoi’s operations. These gangs, known for extortion of businessmen in delhi and beyond, pose a constant challenge to the delhi Police.
Perhaps Neeraj Bawana Gang: This gang, led by incarcerated gangster Neeraj Bawana, operates with impunity even from within Tihar Jail. Bawana, arrested in april 2015 by the delhi Police Special Cell, is believed to have orchestrated extortion rackets from his prison cell, targeting businessmen in delhi and Haryana.
Hashim baba, another jailed gangster, is implicated in the fatal shootout at Delhi’s GTB Hospital. With 16 criminal cases against him, including murder and attempted murder, baba, once a sharpshooter for the yamuna Par-based Nasir gang, now leads his formidable gang.
Moreover at just 22 years old, Himanshu Bhau, from Rohtak, haryana, has amassed over 50 criminal cases in haryana and Punjab, including charges of murder, attempted murder, extortion, and violations of the Arms Act. His gang was linked to the firing at a Tilak nagar luxury car showroom in May and the murder at a Rajouri Garden burger King.
Meanwhile, in a crackdown on the lawrence Bishnoi gang, the delhi Police Special Cell has arrested at least seven suspected shooters who were planning to target someone in Rajasthan. The arrests come days after the sensational murder of ncp leader and former maharashtra minister baba siddique in mumbai on october 12. The Bishnoi gang has claimed responsibility for the murder.
