Jigra, starring alia bhatt, was predicted to be a box office success. Nevertheless, despite being released over a holiday weekend, the movie did not draw in any viewers. In particular, trade analysts were taken aback by Sunday's significant decline. Some of them have now revealed the factors that contributed to the action thriller's demise.

According to renowned reviewer Taran Adarsh, the movie's destiny was predetermined before it was seen on a large screen. According to him, the substance and other outside variables should be held accountable when a movie fails to win over viewers. Additionally, Taran stated that hiring a "arthouse director to make a masala film" was improper. According to him, these filmmakers are unable to comprehend the needs of a certain segment of the public that enjoys seeing performers perform on a large screen.

Vishek Chauhan, the proprietor of Roopbani cinema in Bihar, asserted that Jigra shouldn't have been shown in theaters. According to him, it was one of the movies that managed to make it through before the epidemic. Vishek talked on how viewers' preferences have evolved as a result of consuming a wide range of content during the epidemic. He went so far as to ask the filmmakers to contribute something original rather than drawing inspiration from the work of others.

However, even though Jigra and Vicky vidya Ka Woh Wala Video clashed on the same day, the scenario for Jigra was different in other regions. Kirtibhai T Vaghasia, the owner of The friday cinema multiplex, said that the public was not interested in both films, despite several theater owners asserting that the latter did better on their screens. It's unclear if Singham Again and Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 will be able to revive the housefull boards outside the theaters, as the box office is still experiencing a dry period.
