Industry sources claim that the well-known Marathi short tale "Vidhushak," penned by renowned Marathi author and Sahitya Akademy Award winner G.A. Kulkarni, served as the inspiration for Rakt Bramhand. This compelling story, which takes place in a mythical world, has long enthralled director Rahi Anil Barve, who has always wished to adapt it for the big screen. At first, he intended to make it as a feature picture, but as time went on, he came to the conclusion that the intricacy of the story called for a long-format approach. When Raj & DK joined forces with their regular partner Sita R. Menon, the project took off.
Though it's still uncertain how closely Rahi and Sita follow Kulkarni's original work, the basic plot of G.A. Kulkarni's Vidhushak is two princes competing for the throne left empty by an emperor's death. The clown/jester of the royal court, Vidhushak, is the counselor that one of the two princes may designate. The whole narrative takes place in the courtyard of the red-eyed goddess Raktakshee Devi. As evidence of his tenacity, fortitude, and intelligence, each prince is to outline a fiery path for the other to cross. These contests go on until only one prince remains to take the crown after one is vanquished.
The story of Rakt Bramhand: The Bloody Kingdom is one of deceit, treachery, love, sacrifice, and fate. Touted as the first-ever mega-action fantasy series on Netflix india, it takes place in a distinct imaginary universe that is reminiscent of the myths we were raised on. wamiqa gabbi and samantha Ruth Prabhu's character specifics are yet unknown, although aditya roy kapur and ali fazal are anticipated to play the two competing princes. With a late 2025 launch in mind, the program is presently in development and should be finished by the end of November.
