A brand-new documentary called "Sweet Bobby: My Catfish Nightmare" was been made available on Netflix. The documentary focuses on the tale of London-based radio host Kirat Assi, who fell prey to a very complex swindle. It exposes a horrific instance of catfishing in which Kirat was tricked into thinking she was deeply in love with a man named "Bobby" despite never having met him for more than ten years!

Since "Bobby" would frequently make up excuses like being under witness protection or having a horrible accident to avoid seeing Kirat, the connection never made it from virtual to actual. In the end, the documentary takes a tragic turn as it is revealed that "Bobby" is actually simran, Kirat's cousin, who has been deceiving her for more than a decade!

Because of legal uncertainty, Kirat Assi was unable to bring any criminal charges against simran while pursuing and winning a civil suit against him. We are all shocked by this documentary and become much more aware of our online safety, which forces us to think twice about everything we see on social media. It also draws attention to the intricate legal ramifications of catfishing and the psychological toll that such complicated frauds have on a person, especially if that person comes from a conservative society.
