In a recent speech about India's terrible road conditions, minister of Road Transport and Highways nitin gadkari pledged that the country's road infrastructure will soon surpass that of the United States. Since this is the same script that is replayed every two years with no indications of real development, you are justified in feeling as though you are experiencing deja vu.

Since 2014, Gadkari has been a member of Modi's cabinet. Additionally, like many politicians, he excels in pitching ideals but falls short of fulfilling them. Regretfully, people continue to support him and purchase them. But there is a breaking point for everyone. Internet users are tired of the Road minister's misleading statements. They criticized Gadkari for making the similar pledge to become a world-class nation by 2024, which is still a long way off.

Unfortunately, the government only remembers to construct new roads and highways around election season. And because of corruption and inadequate infrastructure, those roads collapse after one monsoon and are rife with potholes. The administration appears to lack vision and awareness, except from transitory and short-term fixes. Instead, believing that no one would remember anyhow, they visit every two years to sell the same dreams.
