Message before Diwali: 'Don't burst firecrackers...
Arvind kejriwal of the aam aadmi party reaffirmed on wednesday that the prohibition on fireworks during diwali in delhi is not based on religious beliefs but rather on an attempt to safeguard public health. The former chief minister of delhi emphasized during a news conference that diwali is really a festival of light and that fireworks pollution has long-term detrimental impacts, particularly on children. Arvind Kejriwal emphasized that the festival's fundamental spirit is spreading light, not smoke, and that it's not about being Hindu or Muslim. He also highlighted the significance of putting health above tradition when it comes to pollution.
Even the high court and the supreme court have stated that we should light diyas instead of crackers because of the pollution. This is not a firecracker celebration, but a festival of lights. We are not doing anyone any favors by not setting off firecrackers. We're doing it for our family and ourselves. There is no Hindu-Muslim distinction here since our children will suffer from any pollution that occurs. Everybody's life matters," arvind kejriwal declared. According to arvind kejriwal, all sanitation workers received their salaries and diwali bonuses from the delhi Municipal Corporation (MCD) at the end of October.
"Congratulations to all delhi Municipal Corporation sanitation employees. They are receiving their pay ahead of schedule for the first time in eighteen years. In a social media post on X, arvind kejriwal stated that their income was previously withheld for seven to eight months, but that they now receive it ahead of schedule.
