Salaar, starring prabhas and Prashanth Neel, did well at the box office, and a sequel was teased even before the film's premiere. Numerous blogs claimed that the sequel's plans had been scrapped after the film's premiere. To commemorate Prabhas' birthday, however, several of the largest trade experts and media sites declared that Salaar 2 had begun production. Since the production company made no formal statement, fans were taken aback.
 
The actual news is that, although prabhas and prashanth neel were not present, the filming for Salaar 2 did proceed. bollywood media claims that only a few sequences involving children were filmed over the course of four to five days. It's still unclear why these sequences were filmed without the director's presence.
 
Prabhas is now solely interested in Hanu Raghavapudi's Fauji and Maruthi's raja Saab. Prashanth Neel, meantime, is totally focused on NTR's film, a hugely expensive undertaking that is anticipated to take a year to complete. prashanth neel intends to focus on KGF: Chapter 3 following NTR's movie. Additionally, before entering the sets of KGF: Chapter 3, yash is expected to finish Toxic and Ramayana. Salaar 2 is currently not expected to materialize for at least the next three to four years.
