Politics continues in Uttar Pradesh regarding the selection of director General of police i.e. DGP. After the yogi government brought the new rules, Samajwadi party chief akhilesh yadav took a dig. Now mla Rajeshwar Singh from Sarojini Nagar, lucknow has responded to this. He shared Akhilesh Yadav's 10-month old tweet.
Rajeshwar Singh wrote on social media site X - Earlier you had a problem with the acting DGP, now there is a problem even with the implementation of the process of regular DGP selection! Under the strong leadership of chief minister yogi Adityanath, the law and order of UP is ideal in every situation, in the last 7 years the law and order of the state became leading, till april 2024, 197 criminals were killed and 6329 criminals were injured in 10902 encounters, action was taken against 904 criminals under NSA, 68 mafia gangs were completely destroyed.
The bjp leader wrote that in the last 4 years, property worth more than Rs 3758 crore of mafias was demolished, property worth Rs 2401 crore was confiscated, 66575.75 hectares of illegal property was freed, more than 4650 cases were registered against illegal occupants.
Addressing Akhilesh, he wrote - Whether the DGP in UP is permanent or acting, this strict action against criminals-mafias will continue. Under the new process implemented by the UP government, a 6-member committee will be formed under the chairmanship of a retired high court judge for the selection of DGP, which will have 6 important members including a member of UPSC and the chairman of UP PSC. Please talk meaningfully on development issues in the interest of the state and play the role of a positive opposition and focus on preparations for 2027.
